Will there be a volunteer program at SD West 2008?
Yes. Volunteering will allow you to attend conference sessions in exchange for
your work. For each day you volunteer you will be allowed to attend a day of
the conference at no cost. Click here for more

How can I register to attend West 2008?
Online
registration is available until February 27, 2008. You can also registration via mail or fax. More details are available on our Registration Page.
When do I receive my badge?
In mid-February, badges will be mailed to Expo Pass registrants who reside in California and to all paid conference registrants, regardless of state or country. Expo Pass registrants who reside outside of California and all those who register after February 4, 2008, regardless of pass type, will need to collect
their badge on-site at the SD West 2008 Registration counter.

How do I get a receipt and confirmation?
If you registered and paid on-line, the final page of the registration process
is your receipt and confirmation. Please make certain to make a copy of your
receipt for expense purposes as well as any follow-up with the SD West Registration
Department. If you printed an registration form and submitted it with payment,
we will mail you a confirmation and receipt, once your registration is received
and processed. Online registration without payment does NOT secure the early
registration discount. Registrations completed (paid) and checks received ON
or AFTER the Early Bird discount deadline (February 23, 2007) must be paid at
the regular non-discounted pass price.
I registered and now need to make changes to my registration,
how can I do this?
Upgrades: Upgrade pass requests must be submitted in writing and faxed
to (415) 947-6020 along with payment information for the difference in value.
Upgraded passes will be charged the difference in registration fees at the time
that the request is submitted - no retroactive reduced registration fee is permitted.
Downgrades: Written requests for a downgraded conference pass (Expo
Only passes are not valid to downgrade to) must be received no later than February
1, 2008 for a full refund on the difference of registration fees between the
value of the original and downgraded pass. Requests received after February
1, 2008 cannot be accommodated.
Substitutions: If you are unable to participate in the event, we recommend sending an associate in your place.
Substitutions are allowed only with the written permission of the original registrant. Please mail your substitution
request to the address below or fax it to (415) 947-6020.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel, you may do so for a full refund,
less a $150.00 service charge, until February 1, 2008. Registrants who register
prior to or after the deadline date who do not cancel in writing by the deadline
date are liable will be charged for the full registration fee. Sorry, no cancellations
request can be processed after this date. Please fax your cancellation request

Do you offer any student discounts?
We offer full-time college students from accredited universities a 50% discount off of full priced conference registration fees. To qualify for this discount, please print out and complete the registration form and fax it back to us with a copy of your student identification card to (415) 947-6020. Call (800) 441-8826 for more details.
How can I find out if my team qualifies for a group
discount?
If four or more people from the same company register at the same time, at the
regular non-discounted price, the fourth person attends for free. Larger discounts
may apply to teams of 5 or more. More details are available on the Group Registration page. Please call a SD West Registration Specialist
at (415) 947-6130 if you would like to send a group larger than four or if you have any additional questions.

Whom do I contact if I have more questions about
SD West registration?

Service Representative will be happy to assist you Monday - Friday from 9:00
AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
Where do I get the notes for each conference session?
All conference attendees will get access to the SD West 2008 Online Proceedings
Library in advance of the event. Conference registrants will also receive a
proceedings CD-ROM on-site. Printed notes will be available in each tutorial but printed class notes will not be provided.
How do I access the SD West 2008 content on DDJ University?
The courses will be posted on http://www.ddjuniversity.com in 6-8 weeks. It takes this amount of time due to the number of courses taped and the fact that synching is done in real-time. If you purchased access to the SD West 2008 content on Dr. Dobb's University, you will receive login information via email as soon as the content is available.
How do I reserve a hotel room for SD West and where can
I find information about the special travel and hotel rates offered to all attendees?
